Copywriting is an overlooked piece of the real-estate media puzzle. Some buyers read first to see whether a property meets their basic needs. For all clients, carefully chosen words help to frame the photography and video, directing the viewer’s attention while also describing features that aren’t necessarily visible.
The standard format for our long property descriptions is 5 to 10 bullet points, each 2 to 3 sentences in length. The document can be quickly scanned at a glance, with boldface keywords as a guide. But it also rewards careful reading with an evocative account of the property and the surrounding neighborhood.
With just 1,000 characters – only about 150 words – the short description for MLS can be a make-or-break opportunity. We write potent, punchy MLS descriptions that read like paragraph-long highlight reels.
Upon request, we also offer long-form narrative property descriptions. Written in paragraphs with careful transitions, rather than in bullet points, they convey a sense of prestige that may be appropriate for some properties and their prospective buyers.
